The Bassett Houng and the Beagle have the same Ancestors
previous :: Basset Hound :: next His temperament is mild, not sharp or timid. He has great endurance when in the field and is extremely devoted to his master.. He is a short-legged dog, heavy in bone, infact considering the size the Basset is the heaviest boned breed of dog, this makes for his movement to appear but in no sense clumsy.. The Basset is vocal at times with the deep, sonorous bark so typical of the hound group dogs.. |
